You catch a cab from Touristville to Pike Place Market in a mercifully quiet ride that takes you from "probably going to be mugged" to "probably going to pay too much for your drinks."
Compared to the urban wasteland of the Barrens, the Downtown area is filled with modern buildings, lighted streets, and unbarred shops. All living beneath the shadows of massive corporate arcologies. For many, these arcologies are home. For others, they're hulking monuments to where the world went wrong.
Famous for its fishmongers, Pike Place Market has been around since the early 1900s overlooking the Bay. Now, it's a market for all things - legal and illegal. A melting pot of the haves and have-nots. Even though most of the shops are closed, the sights, sounds, and smells of the Market hit you from the moment you step out of the cab.

Find Coyote's Boyfriend Paco[ | ]
Head past the Universal Brotherhood building, you can't miss Paco with that yellow jacket.
Talk to him, causing him to realize where she went to take a run at Stevie J in the Royale Apartments for Mr. Deliliah.
(Optional) Find Maury's Meat Emporium[ | ]
Head up and talk to Manny, who mans the Maury's Meat Emporium booth.
Give Manny the receipt and get the zebra meat.
Head to the north, where you stumble upon another Ripper murder.

Officer Landers is blocking your path
Etiquette:Security or saying you are looking for the coroner will cause Dresden to wave you through.
Once inside, talk to Officer Aguirre. He doesn't like McKlusky so in return for lining his pockets, he'll pass you information about the case. He asks for 300 Nuyen but will settle for 200. The victim is a girl named Lucy who worked at the Stuffer Shack.
Next, talk to the elf standing by the barricade. He's ugly and weird, but there is no crime against that.
Finally, talk to Dresden. He'll give you more information on the case.
You've learned all you can here, continue on to the northeast with Paco towards the Royale Apartments. Speak to Frank across the street outside of the Stuffer Shack.
Asking him about Lucy will yield the piece of info that she was legally blind but recently got a new pair of eyes, eyes that were removed at the Pike Place murder scene. When he asks, tell him you are part of the investigation to get an optional side quest.
(Optional) Recover Lucy's Necklace from the Pike Place Market[ | ]
Frank wants you to retrieve a wooden pendant from Lucy's body to give back to her parents back home.
Go back to the crime scene. Call Officer Aguirre over and ask him for the pendant. As far as he is concerned, if it helps you, it'll hurt McKlusky, so he's happy to give it to you.
Return it to Frank for a +1 karma reward.
Look for Coyote in the Royale Apartments[ | ]
Head into the Royale Apartments across the street to leave this area and continue the search for Coyote.
