Lucky Strike is a hireable character in Shadowrun: Dragonfall.
Background[edit | edit source]
A young woman stands at the bar, smoking a cigarette. You've seen her face before - Lucky Strike, one of the mercenaries from Monika's files. A plume of blue-gray smoke spills from the corner of her mouth. She wasn't a fan of Monika, the Queen of Kreuzbasar - she dislikes hypocrites. But she still visits the place out of sentiment and appreciation for the life there. Berlin Mitte, where she usually works, is a bit too rowdy for her tastes. She also does the occasional run for the Lodge.
Her tattoos date back to three years ago, when she worked in Japan for the Yakuza. The criminal organization insisted they were necessary for a particular job she was doing for them - but what they did not say is that they also marked her as their property. She eventually broke the link and severed the connection - by first murdering the guy who inked her. In the end, she got her autonomy back, but can't travel back to Japan ever again.
Interactions[edit | edit source]
- Lucky Strike will challenge the popular perception of Monika, pointing out the inherent contradiction in an anarchist becoming a de facto leader and having others follow her orders. It is possible to surprise her by agreeing with her sentiment and then pointing out that you don't expect others to follow you around - you just do what needs doing and if the others choose to follow, that's their own, free choice.
